Think About This, As Well As Your Wallet, When You Vote!

I originally submitted this article 10-11-2026 to the Waco "Tribune Herald" as a guest column.  I am on their board of contributors.  They have not chosen to use it as of this date.  So I put it up for public view here today (Tuesday 10-20-2026).  Consider what I said very carefully,  before you vote Nov. 3rd.

The Constitution of the United States was written by our founders in the plain English of the time,  specifically so that the citizens could read it and understand what it means for themselves!   Judges and lawyers may interpret it to carry out their applications of it,  but they may NOT redefine what it means!  That was NEVER intended by our founders!

Article III (about the judiciary) section 3 (defining treason) says in part (note specifically the underlined portions):

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”

This refers to a federal court trial for treason.  Nowhere does it say that Congress may not impeach and convict any federal officer (elected or appointed) for treason,  as well as any other “high crime or misdemeanor”.  The presumption is that Congress will remove such traitors,  and that they will then be tried for treason in federal court!  Only if legally convicted,  they will be punished for it by the courts,  not Congress!  And the standards for conviction are right there in the Constitution!

Since the start of his second term,  Donald Trump as President has alienated our allies and weakened our alliances,  with his tariffs and trade wars,  and his threats and insults.  He threatened to make military war on our allies Greenland and Denmark,  to get control of Greenland!  He has turned two of our closest trading partners,  Canada and Mexico,  against us! 

We all saw him do those things!  He is still doing it!  Weakening the alliances that protected us from our enemies is something our enemies could NOT do for themselves,  not in many decades! 

Trump did it for them,  which inherently provides our enemies with “aid and comfort”,  and that emboldens them to attack or invade other countries that are (or at least were,  until he alienated them) our allies.   Putin’s Russia,  Xi’s China,  Iran and its many proxy terrorist armies,  and Kim’s North Korea,  all come to mind as our main enemies.  

Each and every ally Trump has alienated,  leading to that outcome of weakening our alliances,  is another count of “aid and comfort” treason!  Treason that was committed in the open,  right in front of everyone,  staring all of you right in the face!  And yet I have seen NO news media reporters,  or ANY other public figures,  who will point to those acts and use that word “treason”,  when it so very clearly applies!  Shame on you for not publicly calling this what it really is!

As but one example,  since the start of his second term,  Donald Trump as President stopped essentially all US aid to our (and the rest of NATO’s) ally Ukraine,  who has been holding back our (common) enemy Putin’s Russian invasion of eastern Europe!  Trump has done multiple “peace negotiations” in which he tried to force Ukraine to accept Putin’s terms for an end to the war,  in effect,  surrendering to Russia! 

While that is not waging war upon the US itself,  it definitely is actively helping Putin our enemy to wage war upon Ukraine,  our friend and ally!  Aid and comfort to the enemy is the ONLY possible interpretation!  And that is by definition treason!  Per the Constitution!

As another example,  recently,  Donald Trump as President relaxed the oil sanctions against Russia in return for some Russian diesel fuel,  so that he and his government could “look good” ahead of the midterm elections.

Putin will use that money to murder more civilians in Ukraine,  and Trump enabled that killing of the citizens of our ally,  just for political purposes at home!  That very clearly is more aid and comfort for our enemy Putin,  and a very serious and lethal betrayal of our ally Ukraine!  Aid and comfort treason,  pure and simple!  Right before your very eyes!

That’s 2 counts listed for Ukraine,  plus about 20 more counts of treason for each and every ally in NATO Trump has alienated,  plus our main Pacific allies Japan,  South Korea,  Taiwan,  and Australia.  That’s a lot of treason!  We have an egregious traitor in our White House!

We need a Congress that will remove any traitor or evident criminal from the White House.  We do not have that Congress! 

We need a Department of Justice that will prosecute any President (or any other government official,  elected or appointed) for treason or any other serious crimes.  We do not have such! 

I say that,  because if we did,  Trump and many of his officials,  would already be out of office,  and likely already convicted and behind bars!  Elections are always about your wallet,  yes,  but this is just as important,  if not more!

YOU PERSONALLY need to do something about this,  at the voting booth!  To get started,  we need a different Congress than the one we have!  Only you can do that!  Please do!

Trump Lied, He Brought You Far Higher Prices Instead

Donald Trump ran his 2024 campaign promising you prosperity,  in return for your vote for him and his utterly-loyal minions.  Look at your fuel pump and grocery store bills!  He lied!  Between his trade wars and tariffs,  and his war with Iran,  all those prices are up very drastically!  Your pay is not!  Fact,  not opinion!  Hence,  the exaggerated illustration below. 

And it will get worse,  since about a quarter to a third of the world’s petroleum is bottled up in the Middle East,  because of Trump’s war with Iran!  Fuel and energy prices drive the price of everything else!   It’ll take another 6 months to a year,  for the full effect of that shortfall to set in,  only because the economy is so big.  Those are the facts,  not opinion!

He’s doing it again,  lying and trying to bribe you for your vote,  for the upcoming midterm election,  trying to get his preferred choices elected,  to maintain his control of Congress.  $5000 per taxpayer,  I believe it is.  The track record is this:  essentially every claim Trump has ever made that was actually fact-checked,  has proven false!  None of you have any logical reason to believe anything he says at all!   Again,  fact,  not opinion!

My recommendation:  do not believe a word of what Trump or his minions say!  We cannot afford the hundreds of billions of dollars that the promised $5000-per-taxpayer would cost,  conduct a war,  and try to replenish depleted weapons inventories,  all with a $40 trillion dollar-and-rising deficit in a climate of rising interest rates,  plus continue his tax-cuts-to-near-zero for only his billionaire friends and donors!  That’s about as factual as it gets! 

If you are tired of all the lies,  tired of the rapidly-escalating prices,  tired of all the idiotic pointless drama (and possible treason) with foreign affairs,  and tired of all the billionaires taking all the money from you,  then you should vote for somebody other than Trump and his minions!  And that’s a fact,  Jack! 

My opinion:  you cannot do any worse,  but you might do better,  no matter who the opposition figure is!  And that goes for state and local,  too!

Trump Lies: He Lost the Iran War

A word of advice for all readers:  do not listen to what your politicians say,  observe only what they do!  There is an old saw:  “a politician is lying if his lips are moving”.  While that is generally an overstatement,  with Trump (and his minions) it is almost literally true!  Essentially every claim by Trump that was fact-checked,  has proven to be false,  many quite egregiously so!  That is NOT opinion,  it a fact-on-the-ground,  staring you in the face!

The fact on the ground about Trump’s Iran war,  is that he started a war that he could not possibly win,  and so he inevitably lost it! 

It was unclear why he started it for multiple weeks.  The final “reason” offered,  was “no nuclear weapon for Iran”.  We did NOT achieve that goal:  Iran still has its enriched uranium supplies,  buried deep underground beyond the reach of our weapons!  Fact,  not opinion!

Because of the war,  they are quite probably also building the equipment to make bombs of their enriched uranium,  also buried deep underground,  beyond reach of our weapons!  That’s much closer to fact than it is any opinion!

We cannot invade and dig up the materials to take them:  our available forces are too small to mount an invasion that large,  get that far into the country,  and hold off attack from all sides,  while digging-up deeply-buried materials!  Fact,  not opinion!

Trump bragged that Iran’s air force,  air defenses,  and navy were destroyed during the first days of fighting.  While that is actually true,  it is irrelevant!  Iran was NOT planning on fighting its war with us by using those assets!  They had 47 years to plan a very asymmetric war with us:  using proxy terrorist armies,  and deeply-buried supplies of missiles and drones,  plus deeply-buried production facilities for them.  Fact,  not opinion!

The proof is that even today,  after Trump supposedly destroyed their capabilities,  Iran is flinging many missiles and many drones at our bases in the region,  and at our friends and allies,  and at ships in the Strait of Hormuz!  Plus soon,  the outlet of the Red Sea may also get closed,  by Iran’s terrorist proxy army in Yemen,  the Houthis. 

And the closure of the Strait of Hormuz precisely because of Trump’s war with Iran has already cost you dearly at the fuel pump!  Those effects will spread throughout the economy for some time to come,  since fuel powers everything in the economy!  And that will cost you even more!

One possible reason for starting this war was ending Iran’s use of its many terrorist proxy armies.  So far,  none but Hamas has been sharply reduced,  but by the Israelis,  not us,  and even then only by methods that amount to genocide in Gaza.  Hezbollah in Lebanon has suffered some damage from the Israelis (not us),  but is still intact enough to fight.  The rest (there are many,  notably the Houthis) are all unaddressed!  Fact,  not opinion!

Here is a related opinion:  one can oppose the current government of Israel,  without being anti-Israel or anti-semitic!  It was wrong of political figures to falsely frame that issue as “either/or”,  playing right into the hands of extremists and terrorists!  It was wrong of the news media to go along with that false framing,  and most of them did!  Very few will yet publicly say what I just said in the first sentence of this paragraph!  Yet it is quite true!

Back to facts:

Here of late,  Trump’s “reason” for his war has shifted to “reopening the Strait of Hormuz”,  because closing it has cost us so dearly already,  at the fuel pump.  Be aware that it was wide open before he started his war!  Now that the Iranians know “for sure” that their missile and drone threat can shut the Strait traffic down,  it will never again be a freely-open international waterway!  And,  they seem about to use their Houthis in Yemen to close the Red Sea outlet,  too,  cutting off essentially all Middle Eastern oil and driving prices far higher still,  any time they want to do it!  Fact,  not opinion!

The actual objectives were (and are):  no Iranian nuke,  no terrorist proxies,  a freely-open Strait of Hormuz,  plus possibly toppling the Iranian regime.  The only real way to have accomplished any of these goals was to actually topple the Iranian regime.  That regime before the war was a sham democracy in which the Supreme Leader plus some clerics ruled,  propped up by their terrorist private army the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).   The IRGC had also infiltrated and controlled the Iranian military for them. 

Now,  after Trump started his war and killed several Iranian government officials,  the terrorist army (IRGC) is pretty much in full control,  ready to fanatically die to the last man,  rather than negotiate,  and quite willing for us to commit genocide by bombing their people!   Trump has made that situation much worse with his war,  not better!  Fact,  not opinion!

And,  by the way,  bombing their country with collateral damage like that infamous school,  has turned the Iranian opposition into supporters of their regime.  It’s an “us versus them” thing!  So,  there is no longer any hope of an internal revolution toppling it from the inside!  There really was such hope,  before Trump started his war!  Fact,  not opinion!

The only way left to achieve any of the goals (of which NONE have been achieved!!) is to invade and topple the Iranian regime the hard way.  Based on our WW2 experiences,  that would take an invasion force on the order of 1 to 2 million troops,  to sweep the entire country,  and root-out and kill all of the IRGC,  who will fanatically die to the last man rather than ever surrender!  The US cannot possibly do that alone,  it has only about 200,000-300,000 people in all its armed forces,  total!  And Trump has alienated all our allies!  Fact,  not opinion!

The truth about this war being a failure,  attributable directly to Trump,  is finally starting to come out!  He punishes news media who reveal it with lawsuits,  by being barred from events,  and with threats to their operating licenses!  We have greatly depleted our stocks of critical air defense interceptors,  and a lot of our longer-range strike weapons!  It will take years and billions of dollars to replace them!  Therefore,  Trump has made us much more vulnerable,  by that depletion of our weapon stocks,  in any other wars our enemies might well start against us!  Like over Taiwan.  Or the Baltic NATO states.  Or Poland.  All fact,  not opinion!

Trump spent our resources and left us vulnerable,  fighting a war that he started,  but which he could not possibly win!  Previous presidents were told about these dangers and chose not to start a war they could only lose.  So also was Trump informed,  but he chose to start the war anyway,  and now has lost it!  So,  he is now searching desperately for any off-ramp by which to “declare victory” and get out.   

The Iranians lead him on in the “peace talks”,  when they bother to talk at all.  They have no reason to give him that off-ramp,  because they know they won!  That is precisely why this thing has dragged on for so long!  Fact,  not opinion!

Opinion:  incompetence on that colossal of a scale,  which involves waging a war,  and which borders on treason,  cannot go unaddressed! 

It is way past time to get rid of Trump,  before he finishes destroying the US economy and its military!  He has already destroyed our reputation around the world,  and weakened or destroyed our alliances that protected us from our enemies.  He has already cost you dearly at the fuel pump,  and those costs will only rise further and spread throughout the economy!  Hence the appropriateness of the illustration:

Trump Treason Evidence

Update 9-27-2026:  added bits of text in red a couple of places below,  to indicate how the treasons of damaging the alliances costs you right in your bank accounts!   As well as endangering your freedoms and your lives.

The Constitution defines two,  and only two,  things that can be called “treason”.   One is a citizen directly making war upon the US.  The other is “providing aid and comfort to the enemy”,  and that is the thing discussed here.

Trump has been waging trade wars and imposing tariffs upon our friends and allies,  angering them,  alienating them,  and making them go elsewhere for trade,  and to seek new alliances (without us).  Canada is just the latest example among many.  Prices for food,  fuel,  and construction materials have risen drastically,  precisely because of those trade wars!  That hits you in your bank accounts!

These were the alliances that protected us from our enemies,  such as Putin’s Russia,  Xi’s China,  Kim’s North Korea,  and the sham democracy that is now terrorist-ruled Iran.  Our enemies have long wanted to weaken or destroy our alliances,  but they could not. 

Now Trump has done it for them!  That is not opinion,  those are the facts upon the ground,  staring everybody right in the face!  Every ally alienated,  and every alliance weakened,  is another count of “aid and comfort” treason!

We have a friend and ally in Ukraine,  who has been holding back Putin’s desire to reconquer much of eastern Europe.  We were supporting Ukraine with weapons and aid,  until Trump took office for his second term.  He essentially stopped US support for Ukraine,  and has repeatedly pushed them to accept Putin’s demands,  in order to end the war.  That would amount to Ukraine’s surrender!  Those,  too,  are the facts,  not opinion at all!  

Ukraine holding back Putin invasions of eastern Europe meant that we and NATO did not have to!  We spent less sending Ukraine aid than we would have spent militarily opposing Putin.  Ending that will hit you in the bank account again!

Trump has therefore effectively tried to destroy our ally Ukraine for Putin,  and that is indisputably aid and comfort he has provided to our enemy Putin!

These many Trump treasons just described demand that he be brought to justice! 

The Department of Justice will not do it,  for Trump has packed its leadership with his utterly-loyal supporters,  and they have driven out all who might act against him. 

Congress cannot punish him,  but it could remove him by impeachment,  so that he cannot commit more!  However,  it has an egregious track record of letting Trump do whatever he wants under Republican control,   because Trump completely controls that party!  Part of that is using your tax dollars trying to build monuments to himself.  And if the reflecting pool is any indication,  he does a bad job of these things,  and so wastes even more of your money!

Part of them are just utterly-loyal to Trump,  and the rest have completely sold out to him,  in order to stay in office and not to be “primaried”.  It has degenerated into a Trump cult of personality,  the exact same way the Nazi party became a Hitler cult of personality!  And he has almost completely imposed a dictatorship from the inside,  just like Hitler did,  but that is another story! (See the article just below,  dated 9-19-2026.)

We need a Congress that will actually do its job for we-the-people!  This one is not it!

Here is the only opinion in this entire article:  control of Congress needs to change with the upcoming midterm elections,  or Trump will continue committing treasons until he finally destroys our democracy completely!  Hence,  the illustration:

Update 10-10-2026:  Trump doing a deal with Putin for Russian diesel is nothing but an ineffective stunt to win votes for his people in the midterm election,  trying to overcome voter anger over fuel prices.  But it is also yet another count of treason,  in addition to all those described above! 

The "deal" was relaxing the economic pressure of a ban on Russian oil and oil products,  for a little bit of diesel fuel,  that cannot affect fuel prices in any noticeable way,  because the quantity is too small.  It just looks like Trump is trying to do something about fuel prices.  Appearance only!

That economic pressure on Russia was the only remaining significant US support for our embattled ally Ukraine,  because Trump stopped sending them weapons and money when he took office for this term.  Putin will use the money he gets for that diesel to kill more people in Ukraine!  And Trump is therefore directly helping Putin to kill those people in our ally Ukraine! Treason!  Committed right in front of your eyes!

Update 10-20-2026:  The Trump administration not providing intelligence warning of ballistic missile attacks,  and in not providing the Patriot missile weaponry needed to fend off those attacks,  are two more recent counts of treason,  of the aid and comfort type,  committed right in front of God and everyone!  Ukraine is the ally,  Putin's Russia is the enemy,  there can be no argument about those roles!  Anything that aids Putin in attacking Ukraine successfully,  is therefore QUITE LITERALLY providing aid and comfort to Putin's Russia,  the enemy!  That is one of only two things defined as treason,  in the US Constitution!

It might be Elon Musk that cut off the Starshield/Starlink satellite intelligence coverage for Ukraine,  not Trump himself.  But if so,  that is treason of the aid and comfort type committed by Musk!  And he must be held accountable for that!  It does not matter whether Trump asked him to do that,  or not!  It does not matter that Musk believes in what Trump says,  or not.  If he did it,  that is treason!  Period!  Whether Trump asked him to do it,  or not!  

Trump himself has already committed many counts of treason,  by betraying ally Ukraine,  or in weakening our alliances that protected us from our enemies,  by angering and alienating our allies,  with his threats,  insults,  and his trade wars and tariffs.  Which hurt your wallets,  by the way!

Similarly,  the other administration,  judicial,  and congressional figures,  who supported,  or even just allowed,  the Trump administration to do these treasons,  are all complicit in those treasons themselves!  All of them should be held accountable!  (And treason is a very serious crime!  Up to a capital offense!)  Both congressional impeachments/convictions/removals-from-office,  and trials/convictions/sentences in the federal courts,  are more than warranted here!

Please,  do your civic duty November 3rd,  and vote to replace these so-very-evident treasonous criminals,  with a congress that will really do its duty,  and hold them all accountable!

Trump Dictatorship Evidence

The first image below is my spreadsheet that tracks 10 hallmarks of a dictatorship.  As of this date,  I see 8 fully in place,  and 2 mostly in place.  The secret police force is definitely in place,  with them killing both demonized immigrants and US citizens who protest too strongly,  plus “detention centers” (concentration camps) where inmates die of neglect.  Immigrants are “disappeared” by deportations without due process,  instead of gas chambers.  Opponents are next!

The second image is my view of the political spectrum as a circle,  not the straight line that everybody thinks it is!  I see free societies on one side of the circle,  and authoritarian dictatorships on the other side.  There are two paths to the other side,  but once there,  there is no difference in behavior!  It does not matter what they say,  only what they do!

A military leader recently said in public that no troops would be sent to polling places during the November midterms.  Given that Trump has cashiered most of the higher officers who will not back him,  and that the fact-checking track record says about 100% of Trump’s claims are lies,  I do expect to see troops at polling places in November!  If Trump thinks he is losing control of Congress,  I predict that he will declare martial law and have the troops confiscate the ballots and voting machines from the polling places!

And THAT will be the final end of a free and democratic America!  On its 250^th birthday!

A Question

My wife found this,  and it is just too good not to post!  But it does raise some other serious questions,  beyond just the one in the image.

A few other questions might be:

#1.  “Why is everything that is not good always said by Trump to be either Biden’s or Obama’s fault?”  Not all those things claimed by Trump to be their fault,  can actually be their fault!  A lot of them have been found to actually be Trump’s fault,  which just means he is lying to deflect blame from himself.  Many others are no one’s fault,  just bad things that happened.  Like Covid-19 and the resulting economic depression caused by containing it.

#2. Virtually everything that Trump has ever claimed,  which have actually been fact-checked,  have turned out to be lies.  That’s not opinion,  that’s real data,  right in front of you,  me,  God,  and everybody!  Many of these were really bad,  “pants-on-fire” lies!  Given that track record,  the second question is “Why would anybody believe anything Trump says,  at all?”

#3. Trump is a draft dodger (his dad bought him the “bone spur” draft deferment),  a convicted financial felon (New York state case),  and a civilly-adjudged sex offender (the E. Jean Carrol case).  Those are also not opinion,  but fact,  real data in front of us all.  The question:  “Why would any American ever want a US Navy ship to be named after such a person?”  Re-naming the under-construction USS Doris Miller for Trump is truly a travesty!  Dorrie Miller was a true combat hero aboard the battleship West Virginia during Pearl Harbor,  and he died serving aboard the USS Liscombe Bay during that war!

You can probably think up more for yourself!

Call to Action

I received this image from HOTNIR,  which is the Heart of Texas Network for Immigrant Rights,  located in and around Waco,  Texas.  The image is self-explanatory:  we so very clearly have government officers behaving like a secret police force intended to mistreat and “disappear” the demonized few (immigrants),  and intimidate the rest of us into submission.  

I am sick and tired of seeing government agencies weaponized and abused into the tools of dictatorship!  On this,  our nation’s birthday,  I call upon all Americans to come together,  and rise up to depose our wannabee-king and all his enabling minions!  Your last chance to do this peacefully at the ballot box is this November!

Recent Messages to Federal Reps

Below is the text of my most recent messages sent to all three of my federal representation.  I rather doubt there can be any uncertainty in any of their minds about where I stand on this administration,  and the threat it poses to all of us Americans. 

I have specifically requested responses for most of these messages.  I have received only a few responses,  mostly from Senator Cruz,  some from Senator Cornyn,  and none at all from Representative Sessions.  None of those responses specifically addressed any of my specific concerns.  These were all quite clearly pre-canned generic responses.

What has become clear to me is that all three have completely sold out to Trump,  just to stay on his good side.   All can see what that got Senator Cornyn. 

Those of you who voted for this administration,  please wake up!  You are about to see our democracy replaced by a Trump dictatorship resembling that of Nazi Germany.  Trump,  and your favored sources of information,  have been lying egregiously to you.

I am sorry that you lost the primary,  and I want to congratulate you on your long service to Texas in the US Senate!  In my opinion,  you lost to a multiple-count criminal who was never actually convicted,  simply and only because as the state Attorney General,  he could misuse the power of his office to avoid going to trial.

You and I have disagreed many times on policies,  but that does not diminish my admiration for your long service!  Perhaps,  now that re-election is no longer an issue,  you might accept the gist of my repeated messages,  suggesting that you should overtly oppose many of the things President Trump has been doing in the White House.

Trump is an actually-convicted criminal,  and a known habitual liar,  and in my estimation,  he is (1) attempting to establish a dictatorship,  (2) he has incompetently started a war he cannot win,  (3) he has committed multiple treasons of the aid and comfort type,  and (4) he has repeatedly abused his office for both personal gain,  and the persecution of those who oppose him!  

We need him,  and all his minions,  out of there!  And I think you probably know that,  too,  deep down somewhere.  Impeachment and conviction would seem to be the only way. 

I would be happy to discuss any of these things further with you at any time.  They are what I have repeatedly messaged you about,  over approximately the last year or so.

Iran war                                                                      300 words

Both Trump’s administration and the Iranians are lying egregiously about what is transpiring with the “peace talks”,  whatever they really are.  But there can be no doubt that Trump lost his Iran war,  and is looking only for a way to “declare victory” and get out.  The nuclear issue is being kicked down the road to be dealt with later,  and it appears doubtful that the Strait of Hormuz will ever be a freely-navigable waterway,  ever again. 

And,  the real rulers of Iran after this war,  have been revealed to be the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps,  whose stranglehold on the country is now far stronger than before the war.  They do not negotiate in good faith,  they cannot,  because they are not in the least “transactional” people.  They are a well-armed terrorist army,  specifically recruited from violent extremists.  They would die to the last man,  rather than negotiate away anything.

This outcome,  the opposite of what was promised,  and the opposite of the treaty Obama obtained (that Trump abrogated),  reveals the total incompetence of Trump and his administration in terms of foreign affairs!  Not to mention the treasons Trump has committed by insulting our allies and effectively destroying our alliances that protected us from our enemies.   Trump and his minions have so very clearly proven that they are incapable of performing their first duty:  to protect and defend this country from its enemies!

I will deal with domestic policy failures in a separate message,  but they are part of this total incompetence picture!

You must act to remove them all from office,  before the damage they do becomes critical,  or even fatal,  for our democracy!  It is called impeachment and conviction.  And the longer you fail to address this,  the more complicit you are in this administration’s crimes and failures!

As my representation,  I want you to vote against the “weaponization” fund,  such that it cannot ever happen!  That is only a slush fund for Trump supporters who got into trouble with the law by being so extreme.  No president should ever have such a thing! 

I want you to vote against any immunity of the Trumps from having their IRS returns audited.  What’s good for the rest of us is good enough for them.  No president or his relatives should ever have such! 

I want you to vote down any order of any type,  that places politicians or political appointees in any final editorial approval position,  for any sort of scientific reports or science project finances.  I am sick and tired of this Trump administration gutting and destroying our science establishment.  No president,  or anybody in any administration,  should ever have such power!  Your job is to see to that!

No living president has ever appeared on US currency of any kind.  Put a stop to the proposed Trump $250 bill!  No other bills or coins,  either.

I do not want my tax dollars spent on Trump’s East Wing ballroom,  or his Arch d’ Trump monument.  Period!  End of issue!  I want you to make sure those travesties do not happen!

We have known about the screw worm fly threat advancing north through Mexico for some time now.  Why are the sterilized flies not already deployed to eradicate it?  Is that not total incompetence on the part of this Trump administration?  DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT!

Iran and Ukraine wars                                              147 words

This may,  or may not,  be a practical suggestion.  There was a laser weapon twice used recently,  in and near El Paso,  in botched attempts to down drug-smuggling drones.  It was my impression that this was a device ready for field tests,  but not yet ready to deploy. 

Why not send a few examples of this laser weapon,  and some field test teams with them,  to Ukraine?  That would be a real field test of such an anti-drone weapon,  and under conditions that are totally realistic!  And without commercial air traffic to endanger. 

If it proves effective and is judged to be about ready to deploy,  then put it immediately to work in both Ukraine and the Persian Gulf region,  shooting down all those Iranian and Russian Shahed-type drones.  And start mass-producing the things!

I see the Europeans are also testing at least one anti-drone laser weapon!

Iran war                                                                     274 words

The charade continues over an end to the Iran war.  Yet again Trump (or a minion) says a deal is near to end the war.  Yet again Iran denies it.  Yet again,  there really is no deal.  When a possible deal is announced,  the stock market goes up.  When that deal outcome proves false,  stocks drop again.  We have seen this pattern multiple times now. 

Why should you,  or I,  or anyone else,  believe a single word from this President,  or any of his minions?   The fact checking shows that essentially every investigated claim that Trump has ever made,  dating back to his first run for office,  is false!  And usually not just a little lie,  but most often a “pants-on-fire” lie.

What I wish you would do is something an ordinary citizen like me cannot do:  investigate stock market activity by Trump and his family and his companies,  during this repeated debacle of “a deal is near” when it is not.  I think you might find that he (they) sell stocks when the market swings up after every “deal” announcement,  and that he (they) buy stocks when the market drops again once the “deal” proves elusive. 

That would be the most egregious insider trading ever seen,  since the market responds to whatever Trump says.  And that is illegal!  Also illegal is profiting off the Presidency,  which this is,  as well!  But he has weaponized the DOJ into being his personal lawyers,  instead of the nation’s lawyers!  Expect nothing from them to correct these illegalities.  You (and your colleagues) are going to have to correct these crimes!  Or else be complicit in them,  too.

Screwworm fly eradication                                        336 words

This is for all 3 of my federal representation.  I write this as an open letter to all 3 of you!

Decades ago,  the screwworm fly was eradicated,  down to a small area on the Isthmus of Panama.  For the last year,  it has been known to be marching north again,  through Mexico.  Now that it has already crossed the border into the US,  eradication preparations are just getting started. 

The time to have attempted eradication was a year ago,  when the area to be treated was quite small.  Now about a quarter of the continent needs treatment,  at a gigantic cost!  This delay was not just stupid,  it was notoriously and egregiously and intolerably stupid! 

I have to ask:  “why the delay until the threat was already here?”  Why did the Trump administration not work out a deal with Mexico about a year ago,  to do the eradications down there,  in far southern Mexico?  That,  instead of pissing the Mexicans off with tariffs,  trade wars,  and a so-obviously-racist “border security” policy? 

So,  I must also ask:  “why were tariffs and trade wars more important to the Trump administration than the safety,  health,  and welfare of the American people?”   Such would be a Constitutional duty of the presidency (and of Congress).  A duty I see left entirely undone,  for only crass politics-playing!

I want you to publicly pose my two questions on the floors of both Houses of Congress,  and I want you personally to go to the White House and ask my questions there!  I want to know the answers you get from the administration,  and I want you to make those answers public!  And I want this done very fast,  well before the midterm election! 

Stupidity and dereliction of duty,  of this apparent magnitude,  simply cannot go unaddressed by the people at the ballot box!  It is quite intolerable in all elected officials!

If you fail to do as I request,  that tells me all that I need to know about you!  Consider that!

Iran war                                                                      449 words

The things to be obtained by war with Iran were (1) a re-opened Strait of Hormuz (but it already was open before the war started,  it was this war that closed it!),  (2) no nuclear weapon for Iran,  (3) an end to Iran’s proxy armies causing death and destruction,  and (4) possibly getting beneficial regime change in Iran.  In point of fact,  the only way to actually prevent an Iranian nuclear weapon,  plus get an end to Iranian proxy terrorist army attacks,  actually is beneficial regime change in Iran! 

That beneficial regime change was NOT achieved!  Indeed,  the bombing turned the Iranian people away from us,  something quite predictable,  making beneficial regime change far less likely,  than it ever was before this war started.

What this war actually achieved is regime change in Iran,  but not in the right (beneficial) direction!  The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is now the effective ruler of Iran,  and they are a well-armed and funded army of terrorists,  recruited specifically from violent extremists!  These are not transactional people!  So,  you can rule out any effective prohibition on an Iranian nuclear weapon,  and now that they know they can do it,  you will never again see the Strait of Hormuz as a freely-navigable international waterway,  ever again,  for as long as they rule!

The nuclear weapon question is kicked down the road to “negotiate later” in this supposed peace agreement of Trump’s,  which actually means there will be no such prohibition!  Israel and Hezbollah will continue fighting,  which will stop any of that downstream “nuclear negotiation” stuff,  and the Iranian proxy terrorist armies are not even addressed at all,  or else the Israel-Hezbollah thing would not be such a threat to Trump’s entire process.  And it so very clearly is!

What Trump’s “peace process” with Iran really is,  is the terms of US surrender to Iran!  They now have more power over the rest of the world than they did before.  Which inherently means we lost! 

It does not matter what Trump says about this,  it only matters what it really is!  Trump started a war he could not win,  against all contrary advice,  only because he liked Netanyahu,  and Netanyahu wanted to go to war but needed us to help.  Now Trump is desperate to get out of the mess he created,  at any price whatsoever!  Trump just lies to disguise his loss,  and that this leaves us in a far worse position than the one we had under the Obama agreement,  which Trump unilaterally abrogated in his first term.

This kind of totally-failed ,  utterly-incompetent leadership is simply intolerable!  Do your Constitutional duty!  Get him (and all his minions) out of there!  Now!

There has been yet another Mideast war (which we seem to have lost),  one that we-the-people did not want!  Trump did that,  while promising he would not!  Because of it,  recession looms,  simultaneous with high inflation,  in part because of the Strait of Hormuz,  but mainly because of all the idiotic trade wars and tariffs.  When he promised prosperity.

And there are all the treasons of the aid and comfort type,  committed by Trump while he has been destroying our alliances,  something that I have repeatedly messaged you about. 

Plus putting public health at risk,  and making health care less accessible. 

Plus muzzling the broadcast media. 

Plus spending my tax dollars to build monuments to himself! 

Plus trying to impose a dictatorship upon us,  complete with what amounts to a secret police force to disappear some (the unfairly demonized immigrants),  and intimidate the rest of us.  About which I have also repeatedly messaged you.

Will you,  or will you not,  do something about this clear and present danger to our democracy,  that is Donald Trump and all his enabling minions?

If you continue to support him,  that tells me everything that I need to know about you,  for your next run for office,  whatever it might be!  Consider that!

Update 6-29-2026:  A slightly cut-down form of the screwworm message of 6-13-2026 just above appeared in the Waco "Trib" this last weekend as a letter to the editor.  

I have seen absolutely nothing since any of these Iran war messages were sent,  to alter my conclusion that Trump screwed up big time starting that war when he could not win it (and everybody but him and his minions knew that).  

The US is now far worse off than it was before he started it,  and way worse off than it was before Trump abrogated the Obama agreement during his first term!   No asymmetric wars can be won by conventional means (something known since Vietnam),  and employing only air attacks achieves nothing useful,  they never have,  (known since WW2).

Both Netanyahu and the IRGC are sabotaging the downstream negotiations regarding nuclear stuff with cease fire violations,  and the IRGC clearly has no intention of ever letting the Strait of Hormuz be a freely-vavigable international waterway,  ever again!

Thank you Donald Trump for screwing over most of the world with your idiotic war of choice!

Are You Not Tired of Criminals In Office?

No political party should ever run convicted (or even un-convicted) criminals as candidates for public office!  We do need laws or a Constitutional amendment to make that a binding requirement on all political parties and independents. 

Here in Texas is our latest choice for a Senator:

Talarico is the Democrat,  considered the “wrong party” by 60+% of the Texas voters.  Paxton is the Republican.  So,  whom do you prefer,  the “wrong party” or the so-evident but still-un-convicted criminal?   

And why is the “wrong party” wrong,  anyway?  Only because the party that runs criminals for office tells you so!  Think about that!  That thought process might make your brain hurt,  because you’ll realize you’ve been lied to and believed the lies,  but think about it anyway!

This criminality-in-office problem is no different for some other national offices.  Look at what that same party offered for president,  for a second time,  in 2024!   And a majority of the electorate was stupid enough to fall for the lies and vote the criminal back into office! 

I worked with classified information decades ago.  Had I done back then,  what Trump did with classified information upon leaving office in 2021,  I would still be in jail today! 

You must ask yourself how did he escape justice?  Because a loyalist he appointed to a federal judgeship during his first term,  ended up as the judge overseeing his classified documents case while Biden was president.  She delayed doing anything about that case,  to repay him,  until after the 2024 election!  Simple as that!  And just as nauseatingly ugly!

That Trump was not already behind bars for this crime,  well before the November 2024 election,  is itself an ongoing crime against America!   In which that loyalist judge is complicit!

And that was not his only crime!  So was inciting this infamous insurrection,  for which the rally on the ellipse was only the “go code”,  for something months in the build-up:

And so also a crime against America is Trump and his enablers trying to change history about that insurrection,  and Trump’s pardoning of those who committed it:

Also a crime is the ongoing killing of drug-smuggling criminals on sight,  instead of bringing them to trial.  Simply calling them “terrorists” does not make criminals into enemy combatants!  Under our laws,  and international law,  the commander-in-chief may only order lethal strikes upon actual enemy combatants!  

How about the 34-count criminal conviction in New York state for mishandling campaign money,  specifically to illegally influence an election?  That last is what raised it to a felony.

Or the civil sexual abuse case decided against him,  for which he has so far avoided paying the victim,  and is now having his weaponized DOJ “investigate” her in revenge?

Or the 13 year old girl he and Jeffrey Epstein raped several years ago?  Trump avoided justice for that crime by settling-out-of-court with her family for $13 million.  Instead,  he should have gone to jail,  forced to register for the rest of his life as a sex offender!  But no!

Or the 6 bankruptcies of record which allowed him to completely stiff all his creditors,  without having to tighten his own belt?  Ordinary folks cannot do that,  but the rich can!

And yet another crime is treason.  Weakening our alliances when our enemies could not do that for themselves,  is nothing short of treason!   “Aid and comfort” type.  Period! 

He did it by angering and alienating our allies,  even threatening war upon two of them over Greenland.  Our allies no longer believe that America would come to their aid if an enemy attacked them,  because of what Trump has said and done.   Every alienated ally is another count of that treason.  Including our non-NATO ally Ukraine,  which he starved of aid while he removed sanctions on Putin’s Russia that attacked and invaded them.  Treason!

So I have to ask,  why should you believe that any of our allies would come to our aid at all,  when they no longer believe we would help them?  That’s what the destruction of our alliances looks like!  Trump himself did that,  no one else did.  Treason!

Trump promised you prosperity,  better health care,  and no more foreign wars.  So,  what did he actually bring you?  Inflation due to tariffs and interruptions of oil shipping.  Inflation of grocery prices due to tariffs and interruptions of shipping.  Higher gasoline,  diesel,  and jet fuel prices due to interruptions of global oil shipments.  Drying-up of health care options.  The Iran war,  after doing a raid on Venezuela,  and now threatening Cuba.  All lies,  as it turned out!  Lies that cost all of you dearly,  right in your pocketbooks!

Do not listen to the lies politicians chronically tell,  especially Trump!   Look only at what they actually do or did!   And what Trump did to you is part of a long pattern:

Now,  you who supported Trump tell me again why the Democrats or third parties are the “wrong party” to vote for!  If you can. 

And you Trump supporters tell me why I am wrong in thinking there is no real Republican party left in America,  only the cult of personality that is the party-of-Trump!  If you can. 

I don’t really think you can!

So,  I think you might ought to consider believing me,  when I tell you that America is rapidly sliding into a fascist dictatorship under Trump,  as the cult figure around which his party-of-Trump is built.  For only one infamous example,  the Nazi party became a cult of personality around Adolf Hitler,  if you’ll recall!  And there have been many,  many others.  

We already have a secret police force mistreating some people (unfairly and incorrectly demonized immigrants,  usually of brown or black skin) and intimidating the rest of us (up to and including killing some US citizens who protest).  You have all seen it on live TV! 

We already have concentration camps in which those abused by that secret police force await their “disappearing”.   With inmates dying of neglect there!  You’ve seen the reports!

Censorship of all information media is largely in place,  or Colbert’s Late Show would still be on CBS,  as only one example,  of several,  that all of us have seen!  Now Scott Pelley!

The government has already been mostly weaponized into tools of persecution for all Trump opponents.  And their persecution has already begun!  As all of us have seen!

The Trump dictatorship in America is almost fully in place!  Compare:  

Your very last chance is to vote out all of Trump’s enablers and followers this November!  You will have to turn out en masse to do that,  in order to overcome the off-year gerrymandering meant to steal that election from you!  Think about THAT! 

And those of you who voted for him before,  are going to have to see through all the lies,  and recognize that he has actually done things which hurt you!  And then vote for somebody else!  Think about THAT!

Fail to turn out the Trump enablers in November 2026,  and there will be no future elections in America that are not rigged shams!  You will no longer be allowed to oppose or protest anything that he does!  Just like the way it is,  in Russia,  North Korea,  China,  Iran,  and many other dictatorships!

If the completion of the imposition of that dictatorship happens,  your only other recourse is armed revolution in the streets!  That would be a total bloodbath,  because he has already cashiered many of the high-ranking military officers who might oppose him.  Those military opponents who are retired,  are being persecuted by his weaponized DOJ or DOD,  as was retired Navy captain Senator Mark Kelly,  for but one example!

And don’t think Trump would not use the military on you in any such revolution!  He has already sent the National Guard to opposition-led cities,  and threatened sending the Marines,  whether requested or not (it was not),  and whether there was a valid reason or not (there was not)!  We all saw it live on TV!  It is but a small step from there,  to lethal military strikes on opposition-led cities!

Don’t ever say that I did not warn you,  either!  Because I just did,  yet again!  Several times now already!  Right here on this site!
