I originally submitted this article 10-11-2026 to the Waco "Tribune Herald" as a guest column. I am on their board of contributors. They have not chosen to use it as of this date. So I put it up for public view here today (Tuesday 10-20-2026). Consider what I said very carefully, before you vote Nov. 3rd.

The Constitution of the United States was written by our
founders in the plain English of the time, specifically so that the citizens could read
it and understand what it means for themselves! Judges and lawyers may interpret it to carry
out their applications of it, but they
may NOT redefine what it means!
That was NEVER intended by our founders!
Article III (about the judiciary) section 3 (defining
treason) says in part (note specifically the underlined portions):
“Treason
against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them,
or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No
Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses
to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”
This refers to a federal court trial for treason. Nowhere does it say that Congress may
not impeach and convict any federal officer (elected or appointed) for
treason, as well as any other “high
crime or misdemeanor”. The presumption
is that Congress will remove such traitors,
and that they will then be tried for treason in federal court! Only if legally convicted, they will be punished for it by the
courts, not Congress! And the standards for conviction are right
there in the Constitution!
Since the start of his second term, Donald Trump as President has alienated our
allies and weakened our alliances, with
his tariffs and trade wars, and his threats
and insults. He threatened to make military
war on our allies Greenland and Denmark,
to get control of Greenland! He
has turned two of our closest trading partners,
Canada and Mexico, against
us!
We all saw him do those things! He is still doing it! Weakening the alliances that protected us
from our enemies is something our enemies could NOT do for themselves, not in many decades!
Trump did it for them, which inherently provides our enemies with
“aid and comfort”, and that emboldens
them to attack or invade other countries that are (or at least were, until he alienated them) our allies. Putin’s Russia, Xi’s China,
Iran and its many proxy terrorist armies, and Kim’s North Korea, all come to mind as our main enemies.
Each and every ally Trump has alienated, leading to that outcome of weakening our
alliances, is another count of “aid and
comfort” treason! Treason that was
committed in the open, right in
front of everyone, staring all of
you right in the face! And yet I
have seen NO news media reporters, or
ANY other public figures, who will point
to those acts and use that word “treason”,
when it so very clearly applies! Shame
on you for not publicly calling this what it really is!
As but one example, since
the start of his second term, Donald
Trump as President stopped essentially all US aid to our (and the rest of NATO’s)
ally Ukraine, who has been holding back
our (common) enemy Putin’s Russian invasion of eastern Europe! Trump has done multiple “peace negotiations”
in which he tried to force Ukraine to accept Putin’s terms for an end to the war, in effect, surrendering to Russia!
While that is not waging war upon the US itself, it definitely is actively helping Putin
our enemy to wage war upon Ukraine, our friend and ally! Aid and comfort to the enemy is the ONLY
possible interpretation! And that is by
definition treason! Per the
Constitution!
As another example, recently, Donald Trump as President relaxed the oil
sanctions against Russia in return for some Russian diesel fuel, so that he and his government could “look
good” ahead of the midterm elections.
Putin will use that money to murder more civilians in
Ukraine, and Trump enabled that
killing of the citizens of our ally,
just for political purposes at home! That very clearly is more aid and comfort
for our enemy Putin, and a very serious
and lethal betrayal of our ally Ukraine!
Aid and comfort treason,
pure and simple! Right before
your very eyes!
That’s 2 counts listed for Ukraine, plus about 20 more counts of treason for each
and every ally in NATO Trump has alienated,
plus our main Pacific allies Japan,
South Korea, Taiwan, and Australia. That’s a lot of treason! We have an egregious traitor in our White
House!
We need a Congress that will remove any traitor or evident
criminal from the White House. We do
not have that Congress!
We need a Department of Justice that will prosecute any
President (or any other government official,
elected or appointed) for treason or any other serious crimes. We do not have such!
I say that, because
if we did, Trump and many of his
officials, would already be out of
office, and likely already convicted and
behind bars! Elections are always about
your wallet, yes, but this is just as important, if not more!
YOU PERSONALLY need to do something about this, at the voting booth! To get started, we need a different Congress than the one we
have! Only you can do that! Please do!
